Double our local forest restoration and deliver for nature

The loss of rainforest is a leading cause of species extinction, and forest protection and reforestation are two established interventions for reversing this loss. Endangered Species International (ESI) has been protecting and restoring rainforest while saving over 1,000 endangered species since 2007. In many regions of the world, ESI is now a leading and the most impactful charity for rainforest and threatened species. Our everyday work is having a striking beneficial effect for nature and humanity.

We run multiple native tree nurseries together with local communities around the world. Our nursery’s plants are all native tropical seedlings in various stages of early growth. We collect seeds and seedlings from mature rainforests and make sure to collect the greatest tree diversity possible with over 658 species. Once seedlings are bigger, they will be transferred and planted by hand to the new sites to bring back vibrant rainforest. Our staff with the precious help of the local community will care and make sure that every tree planted will survive and make it as a mature tree.

The aim of all this daily effort? To restore the local rainforests, bring back wildlife and support the livelihood of indigenous people communities.

This year, we aim to double our local forest restoration and protection. We are excited to accelerate our impacts with your generous support. We want to make it simple for anyone to help us planting native trees. Together we can restore local forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world. ONE DOLLAR. ONE TREE. ONE PLANET. TOGETHER PLANTING A RAINFOREST! Contrary to all online tree planting platforms, ESI will use 100 percent of your donations to restore local forests.

As a charity, we depend on your generous support to ensure that we can tackle the threats to our natural world. Even if you live hundreds of miles from rainforest, you need a healthy rainforest. We all do. Join the thousands of people like you who are making waves by supporting our work to double our local forest restoration before the end of the year.
