For Endangered Species International (ESI), all species are important, no matter their direct use by humans, apparent value, intelligence or attractiveness. Together we have the clout to force the sea changes to protect rainforest, ocean, wetlands, and secure a future for plants and animals on the brink of extinction. There is strength in numbers, and every informed voice counts. Join us to protect endangered biodiversity.
Over the years, ESI has done tremendous work which includes protecting more than 250 endangered species, restoring and protecting their critical habitats including more than 1,000 hectares of coral reefs and marine ecosystems, hundreds of thousands of hectares of rainforest, and restoring vital ecosystems (e.g., mangrove, wetlands) home to so many fragile species.
We continue to be a unique source of inspiration and information for hundreds of thousands of children (and their parents) around the world! ESI is engaging activities aimed at hooking kids on nature and helping grown-ups become highly successful nature mentors. It’s time to get outside, go wild, and fall in love with Nature!
We have empowered and supported six indigenous tribes in Southeast Asia and Africa. ESI has worked in very rough geographic locations such as deep in the jungle of Congo to save threatened gorillas and forest elephants. We encourage ecological and sustainable practices during our field activities like growing shade-grown organic coffee. Lastly, we are 100 percent independent, transparent, and use only 2% of our budget for management and operations.
We do the hard job, because we are passionate about our mission and if we don’t it, nobody else will!
